My name is Marcus Windrich and I have been interested in Astronomy for about as long as I can remember.
Like every astronomer, I have fond memories of my first "department store" telescope and the amazing views of the moon it gave me. I later moved onto a Meade LX50 which gave me my first views of the rings of Saturn and the bands of Jupiter.
While I enjoyed the views my telescope offered, I wanted something I could take away from the eyepiece with me; enter astrophotography.
I started small, holding a Canon Powershot up to the eyepiece. From there I moved to on to a DSLR and finally to a dedicated, cooled astro camera.
When not out under the stars, I have a loving wife who puts up with my habit and two beautiful little girls.
